The E32 Chaseboat is powered by an axial flux YASA motor with a capacity of 50 kW continuously with peaks up to 70 kW.
This AVANTI E drive was developed in-house. The motor will be mounted on a very stiff drive line via a homokinetic thrust bearing connection, designed to absorb all mechanical noises.
Maneuvering will be easy because the torque of the YASA engine is comparable to a 200 hp ICE in low revolutions.
A 40kWh LiFePo4 battery pack, designed for extremely heavy loads, will power the electric motor. LiFePo4 batteries do not suffer from thermal runaway, do not need to be cooled and are therefore the safest lithium battery.
The built-in battery charger can be connected to a 3-phase single-phase connection (80% in 11 hours) or a three-phase connection, up to 22 kW (80% in 1.5 hours).
The HMI (Human Machine Interface) screen is a multifunctional touch screen that shows all engine and battery parameters and the digital map. It can also be used for controlling digital switching, dimming light, controlling shutters, AV controls, etc.
A 6 kW DC to AC inverter is installed, which converts the high voltage direct current into a domestic 230VAC to be able to use household appliances without the noise of a generator.
The built-in charger is so stable that a simple portable generator up to 5 kVA can be plugged into the shore connection while sailing, creating a simple range extender with a cruising speed of 6 knots

Depending on the wishes of the customer, DOMANI offers options for low voltage with Oceanvolt or options for high voltage with YASA.
